About Rachel Bell

My career in journalism began on Mega Mirror, the teen section of the Daily Mirror. I went on to edit several national magazines and partworks for kids including Young Telegraph. Fourteen years of experience in publishing includes writing for teen magazines, such as Sugar and Bliss, and national consumer titles from Company and new! I have also written a careers book for teenage girls, Superstar. In 2004, I left full-time editing to become a freelance journalist and focus on gender. This has led to features for The Guardian, The Independent, The Times magazine, The Fawcett Society, The Big Issue, the f-word, thefirstpost.co.uk, and ethical living magazines, Ergo and bbcgreen.com. I regularly write for BBC Classic Drama magazine.
